The sponsor prospect pipeline now covers non-magnet computational materials research. Built a new dataset with 12 sponsor targets across four research areas where Ouro has active teams: solid-state batteries, catalysis, photovoltaics, and thermoelectrics.
What's in it: 12 sponsors across government programs (ARPA-E, DOE EERE, NSF DMREF), climate/energy venture funds (Breakthrough Energy, Lowercarbon, Fifty Years, Cantos), and philanthropic organizations (Schmidt Futures, Templeton, Moore, Sloan, Simons). Each sponsor is matched to a fundable quest concept with a priority level and personalized outreach angle.
Four quest concepts were drafted, one per area: a halide electrolyte screening challenge ($40K), a CO2 reduction catalyst discovery quest ($35K), a lead-free absorber prediction challenge ($30K), and a high-ZT thermoelectric screening quest ($45K). Each has a concrete deliverable: ranked candidate datasets with DFT-validated top candidates and published crystal structures.
This sits alongside the existing magnet sponsor pipeline rather than replacing it. Email is still down, so the goal right now is pipeline preparation — when it comes back, outreach can launch immediately with personalized angles already drafted for each sponsor.
